1980: Murray Wilson Signs starts business in Ford Road, Onekawa
1984: Shift to a new workshop in Austin Street, Onekawa.
1985: Employs first apprentice, Hamish McLean
2000: Workshop extension doubles its size
2005: Vann Riley - now a Director, starts as an apprentice
2007: Purchase of new Dunlop Road unit
2015: Vann Riley becomes a 50 per cent owner of Wilsigns Ltd
We’ve won various New Zealand Sign and Display Awards throughout this time – the most recent being our very own ‘rainbow’ car which has turned heads across the nation.
Over the years, we’ve also trained six apprentices: Hamish McLean, Corey Stephens, Damian Gormly, Rowan Kyle, Vann Riley, and Brier Morgan.

Meet our teamAfter 38 years in business, Murray will soon step aside and leave it all up to Vann. However, he’ll still be on hand for those traditional sign jobs.
In 2015, after 10 years employment with Wilsigns, Vann became a Director of the Company and is looking forward to the new challenges that brings.
